I spend a heck of a lot of time looking at porn. Probably more than you or anyone you have ever met. In fact, you might even be able to make a case for the fact that I look at an unhealthy amount of porn online. I don’t know if there is such a thing, but I’m sure some lame-o repressed doctor or shrill and dry-snatched shrink would try to make the argument that there is. Okay, maybe I happen to have a particular shrill and dry-snatched shrink that I am thinking of. That’s right, my therapist told me that she thinks I watch way too much porn. Can you believe that? She says she thinks I have a problem. That I watch porn compulsively, as a way to mask or distract myself from some much more deeply seeded problems. I told her she could suck my wiener. Well, not to her face, of course. I told her that in my head. And then when I got home I fapped a special nut just for her. A tribute, as they call it. I’m sure you have seen the act before (whether or not you are a fan of it) … but for those of you who are unfamiliar, it is when you print up a picture of somebody (usually a celebrity) and you record yourself jizzing all over that person’s face. It’s a pretty popular thing to do on a lot of the forums that I frequent. And I’d never gone as far as to do one myself. But when my therapist tried to tell me that my fapping was a problematic issue and then had the nerve to go so far as to suggest that I try to cut back on my porn viewing … oh, I just saw red. And then her picture, it turns out, saw white! I posted my tribute to her on one of my favorite forums, and everybody there has had my back. They’ve all been so supportive. It makes me so thankful for the internet … the fact that a lonely guy like me is able to bond with other lonely guys over cum tributes. Lifelong connections are made that otherwise may never come to fruition. I really, really wanted to send her the tribute video and just never go to her again, as per the suggestion of one of my online friends, but I don’t have the heart to do that. Besides, I need her … at this point she knows me better than anyone else in the world. And we are working on my crippling social anxiety issues (which, in the long run, might actually help me to get laid someday). So, at the end of the day, it’s definitely more positive than it is negative. I still can’t believe that she even tried suggesting that I cut down on my porn intake, though. Ha! What a joke.

A Whole New Me

A few years ago, however, there’s a good chance that I would have just done whatever she told me to. I was powerless. Especially to beautiful women in positions of authority (and, for an older woman, she is pretty hot). That was a different me, though, that was before I discovered The Porn Dude, who has become my hero. A hero I have never met in person. Yet I feel like I know him so well. Like he is one of my oldest friends. I guess that’s the power of the written word. He is so confident and badass and cool … it was through reading his reviews that I decided to start writing my own porn reviews. And by imitating him and his awesome demeanor, I think that I have become a little more strong-willed. At least to the point where instead of just taking my shrink’s advice, I am making tribute videos of me jizzing on her picture instead. That’s something, right? Hey, you got to start somewhere, friends! So, back to constantly looking at porn it is! One thing about porn these days, though, that I think people have lost track of is the fact that it doesn’t always have to be in video form. With recent advancements in technology and the ease with which we can access any porn movie in the known universe in a matter of seconds, I think it has become the default fapping setting for most guys to just jerk it to porn videos. And today I am going to throw something out that might be slightly controversial … from time to time, jack off to pictures … I promise you it will be worth it. It’s important to keep your imagination sharp! Trust me. By whacking off to a pic, it requires you to insert yourself (ha) into the situation much more than watching a video – a sort of passive, sit back, relax, and let the porno do all the work way of busting a nut. A picture makes you work for it. Which is good … it makes the eventual orgasm feel that much better, all the more like you actually earned it. There’s no feeling like a cold beer after a hard day’s work, am I right? Well, busting a nut to a still image is the pornographic equivalent to that feeling.

The Wikipedia of Porn?

One site that has a huge archive of porn star galleries is a porn star index site called Babepedia. This is the site we will be taking a look at today. Propping itself up, I would imagine, as the Wikipedia of babes, Babepedia definitely has a lot going for it. But is it enough like Wikipedia to warrant the comparison? Well, let’s take a look and find out, shall we? From the moment you land on Babepedia’s home page, you might be slightly taken aback … particularly if you’ve grown used to sites like Porn Hub or Red Tube over the last decade (the decade of the reign of the free porn tube). Babepedia, however, is much more understated. A lot less heavy-handed and in your face. It’s, in a word, classier, I would say. A soft orange backdrop allows images of sexy porn stars to grace your computer screen in all their radiant beauty and raw sex appeal, with the Latest Galleries section being where your eye is led first. Just in case you were wondering, they add 4 new galleries each day … so, you’d be hard-pressed to run out of awesome porn star pics on this site, that’s for sure. Above that, you’ll find the site menu bar, from which you can browse the site according to the following options: Home, Blog, Babe Grid, Lists, Random Babe, Random Gallery, Top VR Sites, and Fuck Buddy. One thing that I really like about this site is the way that it is a hybrid of so many other types of sites. It is part porn site, part porn star index, and part blog. The blog, too, is actually very interesting to read, which is definitely not something that I can say for every porn site on the web.

Lackluster Site Design, Some Missed Opportunities

One thing that I’m not crazy about, however, is the site design and layout. There is a list, for example, of sponsored sites at the very top of the home page, right between the site menu bar and the list of recent galleries. I find this to be unprofessional for starters, but it also just looks bad. It’s out of place to have a random list of text like that at the very start of the site. Definitely not a great first impression. There are more links, too, in a list along the left-hand side of the page. Way too much advertising going on for my liking. It also seems as if this site should have an easier way to search models besides just an alphabetical list of them. Every site, in general, if you ask me, could benefit from an advanced search, but especially a site like this that focuses on archiving all the beautiful women of the adult entertainment industry. I do like the fact that you can leave comments on galleries. That is cool … always good to have some community features on a site like this. But that is where these features stop. It would be nice if you could vote on galleries and/or girls, so that they could keep a running list of top models or something like that. It just really feels like there is a lot of untapped potential on this site. All in all, this site is good for what it is … a blog and porn star archive. However, there is certainly plenty of room for growth. So, check out Babepedia today and see what you think for yourself!
