Image Fap is an internet classic. It’s been around for about as long as I’ve been around, and it’s never let me down. For those not in the now, it’s basically the archetypical photo gallery site. It might not be new, shiny, and fancy, but it set the foundations for all of the other similar sites that you’ll find, and it still gets the job done when it comes to having a nice fap. ImageFap isn’t exactly actively updated by its administrators. Their most recent announcement is a few months old, but that was just a thinly-veiled advertisement for a virtual private network service so I don’t think that counts. Before that is a two-year-old post about why you shouldn’t use ad-blocking software (I’ll get into this later, but spoiler alert, you should) and then one from two more years back about the site's rules. But the lack of attention from the people running the site isn’t really a bad thing at all. ImageFap is nothing more than a repository for people to upload porn. ImageFap was well set up for people to do just that in years gone by, and now they do. There’s no need for the site’s founders to have a hands-on approach, and ImageFap has flourished in their absence. It’s like what mommy says she wants from me, except that in my case I’m a constant disappointment. Now that I think about it, a VPN might not be a bad idea. I just go on sites like Rubmaps to find out which happy ending massage parlors to avoid, and it’s not like I’d ever actually go to one, but somebody looking at my internet browsing might not realize that. Maybe those sex education classes in school were right. I should use protection.

Or I could just stick with ImageFap, where I can masturbate until my heart is content without the fear of chlamydia, gonorrhea, AIDS, or getting a girl pregnant. Which brings me to my next, and really only important point: when it comes to fapping, ImageFap is set up perfectly. The main focus of the site is its thousands of pics and videos, each of which is part of a gallery of related porn. The main way of navigating through ImageFap before you’ve found your favorite users is through what the site alternatively calls “Niches” and “Categories.” These run the gamut from your normal “Teen,” “MILF,” “Asian,” and so on and so forth, but they’ve also got a few more specialized areas like “Captions,” “Computer Generated,” and “CFNM” (clothed female, nude male). Once you open up a category you’ll see page after page of galleries containing multiple pics and vids. ImageFap has pretty much an endless supply of porn, so finding the best of the best might be a bit of a challenge, but I assure you that its worth it. A word of advice, though? Unless you’ve got some time to kill, stay away from the amateur category. I know that it’s usually a good place to start because it reminds you of the girl next door that you’ve been stalking and masturbating to (or is that just me?) but this category on ImageFap is overwhelmingly huge. It encompasses too many pics and videos, and it’s bloated as a result. At the time of this writing, there are over two and a half MILLION galleries categorized as amateur. That’s galleries, not individual items. So each of those galleries has between two and several hundred actual pieces of porn in it. While that supply does mean that there’s a lot to go around, it also means there’s a lot of trash to avoid. Stick with something a bit more niche for now. Even popular stuff like the “Asian” category has just a tenth as much porn in it. Soon I’ll show you how to really narrow things down, so try not to get lost in the content and discouraged by ImageFap in the meantime.

One Of Us

Even more so than most upload-based porn sites, ImageFap relies on its community to keep it afloat. This reliance cuts both ways: yes, it means that the content will keep coming for as long as the users keep cumming, but it also means that some of the content is completely terrible. Now I know that I might have higher standards than your average porn viewer. A lot of the guys who use these sites are actual virgins, not just “virgins” who actually aren’t virgins because they’ve fucked their pillows and sex dolls so often that they basically have as much experience as any alpha-male whose fucked real-life women. But still, even a complete noob has to realize that at least a tenth of the porn in here isn’t worth looking at. What I recommend is finding a few users that you trust. You can do this through the “Members,” “Clubs,” or “Forums” tab. A lot of the site's power users have thousands of pics and videos uploaded, so find some porn that you really like then click through to see what else they’ve got. In my experience, anyone who has shown their good taste with one bit of porn will tend to show it with others, so just stick to who you know and you’ll be able to avoid the lower-quality stuff that can plague ImageFap. Rather than trying to find a needle in a haystack using the bloated categories, this should be how you browse ImageFap once you’ve become familiar with the site. There’s also a forum when you can do a few different things. They have a section where porn is shared, but I prefer the main ImageFap pages for that. More useful are the “Image Requests” subforum (where you can describe a video or pic with a name sitting on the tip of your penis and ask for help finding it) and the “ID Requests” section (where you can upload a picture of an unknown girl and crowdsource the community to come up with her name). If you’re just looking for a conversation, they also have a “General Off-Topic” section and the “ImageFap Pit Of Fire.” Any topic is permitted at either subforum, but don’t venture into the Pit of Fire unless you’re feeling particularly brave. ImageFap says that in this section “almost anything goes, just keep it legal & no racism,” and the users take that freedom to heart. I tried to post a topic about how its unfair that everyone talks as if three-inch dicks like mine are small, and let me tell you, these people are not a friendly bunch. I guess the propaganda has got to them too.

Advertising Addendum

Insults aside, there is one bad thing about ImageFap. The ads. They’re actually not that bad in number, but they’re just the type of ads that bother me the most. You’ve got your typical less-intrusive ads, like a banner ad at the top of most pages (usually for a dating site or for more porn) and then the ever-present sidebar ad (also typically advertising a dating site or more porn). The sidebar ad actually follows you as you scroll down the page, which is a bit annoying but nothing too serious. The big problem I have is with the pop-up and pop-under ads. These don’t come up every time you move through the site, but they appear enough to be a major annoyance. The worst offender came one time that I opened up a new tab. I wanted to look at a few pics in this gallery, then close the tab and get back to the category page when I was on. But instead of the typical pop-up, what had happened was the page that I had previously been on moved to a full-page ad. So when I closed my new tab to get back to the gallery, all I found was an advertisement for something called “Better Than Tinder.” Newsflash, porn ad companies: I wouldn’t be spending eighteen hours a day on ImageFap if I could get laid with apps like Tinder. So seeing this ad threw me into a blind rage. I closed it, but then I had to go all the way back to the home page and find my spot again. So after this happened, I ignored ImageFap’s pleadings and turned my ad-blocker back on. The ads disappeared, and the experience on the site seemed no worse. So why did ImageFap (often misspelled as "imgfap" and "imagefab") tell me that the site would be better without blocking software? “Uploading, connection to the chat, making comments on pictures, changing the order of your pictures within a gallery.” Well, guess what. I tried every single one of those things, and they all worked. Maybe I’m just lucky, but feel free to follow my lead and use protection unless you start having problems with those features. If all of a sudden things stop working as they should, I guess the price you pay to be able to comment on pictures is a few ads for dating services.
