The community is really great too! The only problem I encountered with the people on this sub is that sometimes they managed to start drama out of thin air. I feel like that’s more than commendable. It’s also one of the oldest subs on the platform, having been made all the way back in 2008! Holy fucking shit, 2008!? Do you have any idea how long that was ago in internet time? That’s like several centuries ago! And they’re still going strong and not missing a beat at all!

Now, I wanted to talk about the design too, since /r/bdsm is one of the rare NSFW subs that actually has a great subreddit design. They have great colors, a great avatar, and they also have a great cover photo. There is literally nothing I could add to the design that would make it better. They definitely took the time and effort to make it look good and it’s one of the main reasons for why it’s so successful despite it being a sort of niche subreddit. Not to mention that they’ve had well over a decade to grow their user base so they have used that time well and managed to make a great design even on the new Reddit UI.There is also an entire family of BDSM communities on Reddit that are tied into /r/bdsm. Not only that, but they have some great functionalities as well. One thing that I would like to see expanded upon when it comes to /r/bdsm is the flairing system. Right now, there is only one flair here and it’s one that will filter out any content that has blood in it. Let’s be real, even if some of us are into taboo shit, many of us still gag when they think about blood during sex. I don’t want to see blood when I’m trying to fuck! Last time I saw blood was when my asshole got ripped open by this hunk after I blacked out at a party.
