I know most people after the age of ten, don't give comics much consideration. A lot of them don't consider them to have a gripping plot or funny. I know that ever since the ‘40s people, no one considers them to be erotic. However, as the internet's favorite smut junkie nerd, I can assure you guys that, even if you're not into them normally, I've found a comic that will make you reconsider.
It's called Oglaf, and it’ll make you laugh out loud and your dick cry.
A New Era Of Smut Strips
First published online circa 2006, Oglaf started out – according to its creator's Trudy Cooper and Doug Bayne – began as an attempt to create cartoon pornography and has since ‘degenerated' into sex comedy. They do recommend on the adult advisory on their page which warns that the site has content which should be kept from children. If you’re a bit confused, I’ll sum up by stating that for my tastes, Oglaf satisfies my lust for smut and love to laugh in nearly every comic strip. Want specifics? After you click on the typical ‘I Am Over 18’ you’ll be taken straight to the most recent offering from Cooper and Bayne. On this minimalist site, you’re going to see the most recent comedic post by Cooper and Bayne. Directly above that will by a semi-randomly generated joke, which runs right up there with ThePornDude’s comedy. To the right are links to the next comic, the previous one, and the archive as well as to the e-store and Patreon page, but more on those last two later. If you cycle between comics using the next-previous page you can seamlessly transition from the page of a strip to the next as well as from one story to another. While the official backstory of Oglaf is that a character of the same name is a farm boy who lives in a vast magical land and turns out to be the chosen one…the only thing is he doesn’t know for what. And funnily enough, he really ever makes an appearance or is even mentioned throughout the series. Instead, the focus is on a recurring cast of characters as well as one-offs who show up for a particularly specific and funny bit. While the Oglaf project started out as pornography and is described as a sex comedy, it's turned into a mix of both and something even better than either. However, I should have noted that there are some "softer" comics as well, but they could still be seen as a little racy. In total, there are three types of Oglaf stories: safe, fairly safe & safe-ish, and the vast majority which are unclassified – in other words, raunchy as hell. Going back to the returning characters, there are several of them with their own arcs and recurring internal jokes. While there are too many to list in this review, here are a few of my favorites which mix both raunchy humor and naughty nude activities. The Warlord-Sorceress AKA Mistress – Imagine of Wonder Woman, Maleficent, and Celene from "Walk All Over Me" somehow got together and made a baby, their redheaded love child would by the Sorceress in Oglaf. She's a thin, fit magical woman who in nearly every scene has a weapon which could be wielded in war or a BDSM dungeon. And despite having an ice-cold personality, she's hot as fuck and always dressed to kill, or fuck, or both. In addition to having a badass castle, the Sorceress is often accompanied by her equally hot and equally scantily all-female dressed Amazon Brigade who act as her bodyguards. Not only do they assist her in war but also in helping the Sorceress bathe, dominate men in negotiations, and "torturing" her manservants. Ivan the Apprentice – One of the manservants the Sorceress loves to torture the most is Ivan. Since Oglaf is an erotic fantasy romp, he isn't tortured in a conventional sense. Instead, the Sorceress often gives Ivan commands that he can't masturbate or have sex, even with the Sorceress and her guards parading by in metal bikinis or deliberately seducing him. That or she casts spells on him to penalize him if he does spill his seed without permission. While there is more to Ivan's stories than that, she one's in which he interacts with the Sorceress to whom he's supposed to be studying under involving some of the hottest and hilarious blue ball humor I've ever seen or read. And then there’s Cumsprite – Or rather the cumsprites. Like the name sounds, these anthropomorphic spoogle balls with legs are magical creatures which are created as a result of a curse the Sorceress placed on Ivan. Usually, they get the Apprentice into trouble – although *spoiler alert* in one particularly funny story, they splash all over the Sorceress’s face several times. I’ll let you check out Oglaf to see how that happens and what the result is. Ponce de Leon and his Assistant – On a never-ending quest to find the Fountain of Youth, this cartoonish version of the famous Spanish explorer find themselves in a variety of sensual circumstances. The Mischief of Fairies – And no, I don’t mean the ones who make good hairdressers. In the magical world of Oglaf, there are all sorts of fae and other magical creatures, like the Bad-at-Sex Fairy, who enjoy playing pranks and fucking with the sex lives of mortals. Vanka the Thief – Being a nimble thief who often finds herself in a bind – though not in enough bondage scenes for my liking – this character often uses her body and feminine wiles to get out of some (both non-sexual and sexual) jams. The Sexual (mis)Adventures of Blonde Girl and Black Guy – As far as I know, these characters haven't been named, but a cap wearing blonde bombshell and her dread-wearing boyfriend are occasionally featured traveling all around the world Oglaf – usually getting into trouble while fucking themselves silly. Acolytes of the God Sithrak – Kind of like the Jehovah’s Witnesses of the Oglaf world, they attempt to preach the word of the supposedly wrathful god Sithrak. However, since most of the characters tend to be sardonic, horny, or both, the proselytizers usually end up looking like idiots. Kronar, Son of Man – Can’t say I’m a big fan of the stories involving this guy, but I’ll include him since I know some girls (who can always slide into my DMs – so please do) and some guys who bat for both sides. Kronar stars in some mildly fun escapades throughout the series in scenes of graphic violence and raunchy, unusual adventures. Unusual how? Well, he does come from a tribe of men who breed with other men… Guest Strips – These occasional posts made by highly talented fans of the site serve as supplements when Cooper and Bayne can’t make one of their regular uploads. Besides those characters and specials, there are tons of one-off characters who start in stories parodying tons of popular media, including video games, historical events, the Bible, Robin Hood, and other legendary characters. In fact, I’d say that some of them are some of the best comics on Oglaf.com. And I’m not alone in this either. Oglaf has won several awards for its unique content including the 2016 Ledger Awards, been ranked as the #1 Romance and Erotica comic by Comics Alliance the same year, and the best rated X-rated Strip by NJ.com. Oglaf even was ranked as one of the top porn sites for women by Cosmo magazine! Having been around so long and having consistently produced tons of side-splitting, semen spilling comics, the creators of Oglaf have gained a pretty loyal following. Overall, the mobile version looks just as good as the desktop version, especially the archive. However, the stories themselves look exactly the same as the desktop version in a full window stretched out to mobile device dimensions. While you can zoom in to see the story which looks fine, but the smallness of the links makes navigating the site a bit hard.Is There Anything Which Should Be Changed?
Other than optimizing parts of the mobile version, there is one other thing I would change. While the "maturity" of each story is well categorized, I wished that each story was tagged. That way, with a search engine, you could find strips of specific characters…or certain kinds of sex acts. There is one thing about Oglaf which I really don't like it's the way you can find it…or rather can't. Of course, you can plugin the exact domain URL, and it's not long, but I'm used to finding a site simply by googling the title. Unfortunately, I've been noodling around for a while on Google's standard search, image search and other search engines and they all seem to be blocking a direct link to Oglaf. In fact, if you search for the site by name you'll find links to Oglaf's Twitter page first then the Wikipedia article followed by a bunch of links to obscure forums and similar sites. I'm not sure why this is since you can search for even bigger smut sites, including porn comic platforms, without worrying about censorship. So once you check this site out, I’d save it to your favorites.For The TL; DR Crowd – Will Oglaf Make You Laugh?
Short answer: yes. Long answer: yes, and here’s why… Parody can be just as entertaining in comedy as it can be as porn. And to make things even better, Oglaf is technically a combination of both. On top of that, this web series parodies one of the best geeky genres out there – medieval fantasy. Who doesn’t love that? The artwork loves fantastic, and the type of content you're going to see will have you soon wanking and laughing at the same time. Just be careful not to shot your load while chuckling or might catch some semen in your mouth. I did that, and it was weird. Besides that, despite the minimalist design, Oglaf still has great bonus features like some additional jokes on every page, a neat e-store with more humorous content, and even more funny yet fap-worthy stuff on the Oglaf Patreon page.- Naked shenanigans and comical adventures abound in this ongoing fantasy romp
