Even better, you can control the speed of your download by setting the bandwidth you want on your download where you get the most optimal speeds for downloading your files. How important is that, you ask? Well, let’s assume you are downloading a huge porn scene and have smaller galleries to download as well. Instead of waiting for your browser’s downloader to automatically set the bandwidth for every one of your downloads, JDownloader allows you to set a smaller bandwidth for the larger file, so the smaller ones (in this case the images) download smoothly. On a scale of 1-10, how convenient is that?

How does being able to start, stop, or pause your downloads sound? Well, that’s another perk you get for using JDownloader. Depending on the strength of your internet, you can pick which files to prioritize while downloading. There is even an option for auto-extracting files! It’s hard to find a download manager with so many options. You should make a point of downloading the tool and witness the goodness for yourself. It’s not necessarily an adult-focused download program, but you will be pleased to realize you can use it to download practically anything.

They could use a better design though

I’ll try to be as polite as possible with this aspect of the tool since everything is free. JDownloader.org’s design could use some improvements. It currently looks bland and dated, and the white background doesn’t make matters any better in terms of visual appeal. There is also a hint of confusion, and I got lost a few times when attempting to locate something. Granted, there is an FAQ section, but it’s not really helpful in that regard as it primarily acts as a Wiki and won’t necessarily have the kind of information you’d normally expect of an FAQ section. Will that deter you from making the best out of the tool? Not really, but it’s my job to point out such things. There is not much to write home regarding the dated graphics either. However, considering that these guys are doing all this for free, it would be a bit unrealistic to expect them to put a lot of effort and money into making the design look a bit modern. The best thing to do? I’ll quit the bitching and enjoy what these guys are offering since it’s free. If I had enough money, maybe I’d grab these folks a few drinks as a sign of appreciation.

If you get stuck on the journey when using JDownloader, the tool has enough supporting cast that you may reach out to in case of any inquiries. I know I wrote off the Wiki/FAQ tab as practically redundant since it is confusing and may not have the answers to your queries, but the Board and Support tabs should come in handy. The Board tab has a forum where you should find valuable information to help you best utilize the services offered. I found the support tab more useful as clicking on it takes you to the Support.JDownloader.org page, which is certainly better than the JDownloader.org page. How, you ask? Well, the FAQ section is really useful for starters. You can also contact the support team and enjoy the experience in a way better design, and, surprisingly, they’ve not adopted this design for the primary site. The support page has two tabs; The Knowledgebase tab and the Submit a Ticket tab. Looking for any information pertaining to the download tool? Look no further than the Knowledgebase tab. The Submit a Ticket tab, on the other hand, adopts a question approach and you can submit a ticket with your questions and someone will be on hand to get back to you ASAP.

Reasons to go for JDownloader

Free; arguably, the best aspect of JDownloader is the fact that it’s free. Lots of download manipulation tools; this tool allows you to pause and resume downloads among other options to work with regarding the download process. Option to set bandwidth limits; users can control the speeds of their downloads by picking the bandwidth they want for their download. Open source; the tool is open-source, meaning you’ll be able to steer clear of infected or problematic files.

Possible concerns

Awful design; the primary site could use a better design. The graphics definitely look dated and could use plenty of improvement. The support site looks much better. The FAQ section is not helpful; the site offers plenty of support to users, but the not on the FAQ tab where you’d expect to know more regarding how the tool operates. For that, you’ll have to use the support tab.

The money shot

What can I say? Go on and download one of the best download managers on the internet. Oh, and it’s free and well optimized to make your downloading life easier whether you are downloading porn or other files. You will be amazed by the functionality, and while there is room for improvement, the fact that it’s free makes it an attractive proposition.
