Swingers Date Club aka SDC Swingers! When you think of swingers, what images come to mind? Maybe huge orgies where everyone is wearing masquerade masks, like in that iconic scene from Eyes Wide Shut? Maybe a couple of couples going at it, fast and furious, on a boat? In a hotel room? What do the orgy goers look like, though? How old are they? Are they fit? Are they attractive? What does the sex look like? Wild and passionate? Fumbled and awkward? Carefree and whimsical? What does the guy to girl ratio look like? Is it mostly dudes and one or two women? Or is it a harem of beautiful women all ganging up on one extremely lucky guy?Well, to tell you the truth, if you said yes to any of the questions above, you would be correct. That is because the swinging lifestyle is varied and diverse. There is no one type of swinger. All walks of life, especially in more recent years, are drawn to the swinger’s life. All sorts of couples like to swing … all age groups (well, legal age groups that is), ethnicities, hotness levels, and sexual preferences are welcome.This is news to me, though. Personally, when I have pictured swingers in the past, I have always imagined groups of old, fat, unattractive white couples linking up and then, well, linking up, in dirty hotel rooms. This is probably because a friend that I had in high school was actually the son of a couple who was very active in the swinger community. And that is exactly what they looked like. Definitely not the kind of people I would want to swing with. Although, let’s be honest, I would swing with anyone at this point, being a 37-year-old virgin and all. I would take anything I can get at this point. God, how I crave a woman’s touch so badly…They were discreet about their swinging. Which is another common characteristic of the lifestyle. Because, well, everyone has lives, professional and otherwise, to go back to once the Dionysian reverie comes to an end. And nobody wants their business to be affected by their pleasures. So, swingers are typically, from what I can tell, great at keeping their love fests a secret.I have often wished that I could get into the swinging community. But, unfortunately, it is extremely rare for swingers to accept single men. And that is because, as I sort of touched upon earlier, the ratio of men to women is a very important thing to mediate. Because swinging is not the same as gangbanging (well, I suppose in some circles it might be). So, swingers tend to only accept men when they are a part of a couple, meaning that they will be providing more poon to the pool of pleasure. And since I cannot even get a girl to look my way and never have, the likelihood of me being adopted into a swinger’s group is slim to none.

Ah, what a life …There are a few sites out there, though, dedicated to bringing swingers together, as well as propagating knowledge and educating people on the lifestyle. And we will be taking a look at one such site today. The site in question? Swingers Date Club. Just the name itself sounds pretty promising. At least if you are in a relationship and actively seeking a new group of people to, well, swing with, that is.

A Comprehensive Swinger’s Lifestyle Site

But linking up with other swingers in your area is far from the only service that Swingers Date Club provides. In fact, the title of the site might be just a little bit misleading. And the moment you land on the site's home page, it will become clear just what I mean. The focus does not seem to be on social networking, the way the title Swingers Date Club implies … it implies that maybe this will be a site similar to Fet Life, where you can create a profile and then connect with other swingers. And, don’t get me wrong, you can. All I mean is that you have to do a little bit of hunting, it turns out, to be able to find that feature.No, the main focus of Swingers Date Club seems to be education. It is something of a lifestyle blog, dedicated to topics related to swinging (and kinks in general). And the site menu bar (which is extensive and convenient) really tells the story well. At the top of the page, you can browse the site by clicking on one of the following topics: Group, Sex, Kink, Erotic, LGBTQ, Relationship, Health, Media (dropdown: Videos, Podcasts, SDC Podcasts, LIC Quiz, News, Browse Authors), Travel (dropdown: SDC Events, SDC Past Events, Destinations, Travel News, Travel FAQ), or More (dropdown: Browse Members, Parties, Clubs, Affiliate, Contribute, Newsletter Archives, About Us, Contact / Support).So, as you can see, the actual action of the site (the community features, that is) is sort of hidden, stowed away in the More section, as if included merely as an afterthought … definitely not the focal point of the site. I do kind of wish that these features were more central, especially given the site’s name. But I suppose Swingers Date Club might have its reasons for doing things this way. I’m sure that they want people to become educated and familiar with the lifestyle before they just start throwing their hats into the orgiastic ring. It makes sense, maybe, to not prominently feature the social networking aspects of the site, then, because it might assuage everybody and their brother from just signing up and, with no knowledge of what it means to be a swinger, just trying to get their wieners wet as quickly as possible.

Great Site Design

The site, too, looks really nice. I mean really nice. In fact, it’s one of those rare sex-related sites that you could probably safely browse at work with nobody being at all the wiser of what you’re up to. It looks much more like a lifestyle blog or a news site than it does a site designed to help couples really get into the swing of things (ah, see what I did there?). In fact, there is no nudity at all to speak of on the home page. And a brief dive into the individual articles and videos will show that the whole thing is closer to PG-13 than it is XXX.That is a good thing, sure, if you want to be able to safely read up on the lifestyle in public or while on the clock. But it also kind of blows if you are also looking to get your rocks off at home. As porn is always the goal. And SDC has absolutely no porn anywhere on the site. But, hey, there are millions of other sites for that, am I right?Once you are a member (it is free to sign up), you can begin browsing profiles of fellow swingers by state. You can message them and link up with them, hopefully plan an event with them. The only downside to this, however, is that the site is not very big. I searched New York, thinking that NYC would definitely have tons of swingers looking to party on this site. But there were only a handful of profiles for me to choose from. So, hopefully in the future, SDC will expand (maybe as the swinger lifestyle in general becomes more socially accepted).Other than that, though, this site is enormous and really well done. You will definitely never be bored (at least not if you like reading), and it is a very positive addition, I think, to the swinger community. Enjoy and play safely, friends!
