On second thought, this is probably better than dating a Japanese girl. It’s not like she would have sex with me anyways.

Exploring The Orient

When you go to JAVDoe, the first thing you’ll see is the major draw to the site: the uncensored section. It’s filled with full-length, HD quality Japanese adult videos without those pesky black bars and moving sets of pixels that are so strongly associated with Japanese porn. Uncensored porn is mostly illegal in Japan, but a lot of the big studios prepare uncensored releases for Western audiences these days. If that’s what you’re into, this is the section you’ll mostly want to use. To get around you only have two sorting options. First and foremost is the most recent sort, which, since the site only hosts professionally-made porn and doesn’t have anything amateur, is a pretty safe bet. Time, money, and effort went into each of these videos, so you’re not going to find some disgusting couple with a camcorder that will make you want to gouge your eyes out here. That being said, I still prefer browsing these videos by most viewed. Even among pro content, some videos are better than others, and the viewers of JAVDoe really do seem to have good taste. Switching to most viewed brings the cream of the crop right up front, so until you’ve exhausted the first hundred or so pages here (like I have), I’d stick to this over the most recent. Right next to the uncensored category on the navigation bar is the section of censored videos. It’s old-school, it’s authentic, it’s nostalgic. The remainder of the categories are fairly self-explanatory, but there are a few areas above that bar that I want to point out. You can actually filter by studio and pornstar, which is pretty rare among free sites. This comes up a lot on premium sites, but it’s a nice unexpected addition here. If you fall in love with a certain girl, or begin to notice that one studio in particular always gets you going, you’ll be well served by these two sections.

Me Speak Engrish?

One issue that I have with JAVDoe is that the video titles can be a bit too Engrish to be understandable. I get that they’re translating them from Japanese, and I appreciated that they did that much rather than just leaving them untranslated, but honestly, in some cases it doesn’t even help at all. I just watched a video that was actually pretty good, which featured a hot young girl masturbating while she sucked a guy off. But finding it was pretty much just a stroke of luck after a bit of trial and error. And despite what the video promised, I didn’t notice any slick framework or anything even remotely stout. I didn’t see any F Glass. There definitely was busty excellence, and I’m not sure that the sex was particularly crude, but I guess I’ll give them that. But natural bristle oma was completely absent, and I didn’t think that the video was touchy to chow at all. That being said, what the video actually had in it was even better than a video that actually was touchy to chow, so I wasn’t disappointed, but I think more accurate video titles would really help the site out. You would hope that the site’s use of tags would save the poor titles, but you’d be wrong for the most part. To give JAVDoe some credit, there are tags on the site that actually work as intended, but more than enough of them are so absolutely useless that you’re better off ignoring them altogether. Yes, some sections will help you find more videos featuring what you’re looking for, but there are too many one-video tags like “It’s Messed Up” and our old favorite “Touchy To Chow” to make navigating the site through tags a waste of time.

Ads, Ads, and More Ads

Unfortunately, JAVDoe goes so far with its ads that it almost ruins the entire experience. Worst of all is the continued insistence of the site to feed you notifications. No, I don’t want a pop-up on my browser every time JAVDoe adds a new video. Sure, that might be useful, but I assume at some point I’ll have a female in my room who actually wants to be here, and I don’t think she’ll be turned on when she sees that “HEYZO 2053 Miyu Shiina Joy with sexual knead n case of Miyu Shiina” was just uploaded to JAVDoe. Of course, I’d be very happy to hear that, but I visit the site pretty much every day so I don’t need to be notified. If you just deny the prompt it’s going to come back in about ten seconds when you go to another page, so make sure you block them completely. On top of that, you’ve got some of your standard stuff: banner ads (which sometimes get by ad-blocking software, but even if they don’t they leave a big black blank in their place), sidebar ads (which do the same), and pop-up ads. You’ve also got ads before every single video, and while you can usually skip them after watching a few seconds, they’re still annoying. None of this is really enough to detract from the incredible quality and quantity of professional JAV porn that JAVDoe has, but they really make the experience noticeably worse. If there was another site that had porn this good but actually translated the titles property and wasn’t plagued with ads, I’d move on to that site in a heartbeat, but I guess you have to take the bad with the good for now.
